With the release of VTPro v4.0.18 you now have the ability to make a Touchpanel project that will run on a Mac similar in the way you have been able to do for the PC using Crestron's XPanel.
There are a few important points to be aware of:
The VTPro project
1) Making a new Page or Sub-Page is set to default to 320x460. To change page size select PROJECT PROPERTIES.
2) Day 1 release, No Analog bar graphs, need to convert the analog to serial text
3) Similar feature set of objects as Crestron Mobile
4) Will need to install an Application on the Mac in order to run this
5) Refer to the VTPro Help File under 'XPanel for Mac' for details on how to configure the Install and Connecting of the XPanel for Mac
The SimplWindows program
6) The SimplWindows programming side has a new set of 2 symbols, XPanel for Mac Touch interface to control system via TCP/IP similar to the iPhone symbols
7) Keep the default 0.0.0.0 ip address to accept a connection from any IP Address.
8) Refer to the SimplWindows Help File under 'XPanel for Mac Interface' for additional information
9) Similar to the iPhone/ iPod Touch/ iPad App - Does not support setting a User password, the Mac-based systems display an error (unable to download manifest...). The alternative is to program the password from SIMPL, or SystemBuilder, instead. We have several password modules in SIMPL that can be used to protect access to any X-Panel, X-Panel for Mac or physical touchpanel.
10) Running XPanel on a Mac can only be run as a 'Browser' and not as an 'Executable'.
Note: When running as a 'Browser' the Project pages are loaded on the Control Processor. When run as an 'Executable' the project pages would be loaded locally on the computer and not on the processor.
